It’s hard to let go of Matt Smith – Steven Moffat

Steven Moffat recently spoke to Entertainmentwise about Matt Smith and his final story, which is set to air this Christmas.

“It’s hard to let go, watching him on set yesterday and he’s so heartbreakingly good. You get all excited about the new Doctor and then you go back and you see Matt on his first day back on set and you think ‘oh my God that’s what we’re losing’. He’s so brilliant and he’s at the height of his powers in the part, he’s so funny, so clever, so inventive.”

It looks like Moffat is finding it hard to say goodbye to the Doctor has accompanied him as show runner of Doctor Who. While we all love The 11th Doctor and Matts performance as him, it must be even harder for the Doctor Who staff & BBC Wales team who have worked with him since 2010.

How do you feel about Matt leaving and are you prepared for another sad regeneration story? Let us know in the comments.
